About the Guru

Sunita Kapur - Originally from Mumbai, Sunita has been a versatile Classical/Bollywood/ Ghazal Singer, Composer, Vocal Guru, TV Host, for over 3 decades, and has lent her voice in numerous films, Record Labels, TV, Radio and theater. She has traveled worldwide, singing in thousands of concerts with the Stars of the Bollywood Music and Film Industry such as Sonu Nigam, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Nadeem Shravan, Sudesh Bhonsle, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Amit Kumar, Anu Malik, Alka Yagnik, Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan, Salman Khan, Johnny Lever, and so many more. She sings in many Indian languages and holds a Masters in Indian Classical Music (Sangeet Vishaarad). She is the recipient of the prestigious 2019 Award for Outstanding Cultural Contribution at the official Indian Independence Day Celebration in Bergen County NJ,  the ICCI Global Award New York for Outstanding Cultural Contribution in 2022,  "Shakti the Power" 2023 Award for contribution in the field of Music and for being an inspirational woman and the IFAB award for outstanding mentorship in music in 2024. Ms.Kapur continues to compose, record, perform live concerts and culturally enriches lives by teaching hundreds of students of all ages Indian Music.
