Adult Yoga Classes

New from Jan 2024 - Weekday Adult Yoga Classes

 

Classes will be conducted by Priya Vazarkar, 200 HR certified Yoga Instructor who has been teaching Yoga in different settings like private, semi-private, and group lessons.
Being a Yoga enthusiast, she has been practicing yoga since her teenage years. Her holistic yoga sessions are a great way for beginners to learn individual poses with proper alignment, reduce stress, and improve focus through Pranayama and Meditation. Sessions focus on Breathing Exercises (Meditation and Pranayama), Yoga postures and incorporate themes and insights on philosophy of Yoga.

She likes to understand the needs of the students and strives to create a safe and effective practice.

Classes will be on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Weekend Free Yoga Classes

As a service to the community, Hindu Samaj has been offering free yoga class in the Temple every Saturday morning. This excellent service is being provided by our Yoga teacher for the last 15 years, "Yogashri Biren Ji" who is a huge proponent of Yoga as a means to lead a healthy, balanced and productive life. However, due to Covid-19, Biren ji has moved the yoga class to a virtual platform - on Google Meet. The classes are held every Saturday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. If interested, please send an email to bkumarcpa@gmail.com  so that an invitation can be sent to you to join in the classes. We request all Temple Devotees to take advantage of the free Yoga classes.

Kids Yoga Classes

Starting this fall, Hindu Samaj will be offering Yoga classes for Kids (ages 5 years old to 15 years old) at the Temple every Saturday at 9:30 am..

Kids will learn and practice Asanas, Breathing exercises, Mindfulness, and Meditation in a fun and educational way! Everyone should be bringing their mat and a water bottle.

Classes will be conducted by Priya Vazarkar who is a 200 HRS certified Yoga Instructor and has been teaching Yoga to kids and adults for the past 5 years. Being a Yoga enthusiast, she has been practicing yoga since her teenage years. She conducts yoga sessions in different settings like private, semi-private, and group lessons. She has taught kids group yoga classes at Kulture Kool, and at an after school enrichment program through Parker Anderson at different elementary schools in Bergen county.  Her yoga sessions focus on Asanas (poses), Meditation, and Pranayama.
